Our founder, Steve Reeve, has a unique background. He began his career working in a small office producing quotes for commercial heating systems and then progressed through telephone sales, field sales and sales management before joining an international training organisation where he was formally trained to deliver high impact development programmes.

His success did not go unnoticed and he was headhunted to take on the role of Sales and Marketing Director for a £40 million company. His application of the tools, models and skills from his training experience enabled him to totally restructure the sales approach of the business and reverse a five year decline in it’s primary product, increasing revenue by more than 60% in less than three years. His training experience gave him an understanding of many different industry sectors through his work with a wide range of clients including Philips, News International, Seagate, Aggregate Industries, The Automobile Association and many others that are leaders in their sector but whose names are not as widely recognised.

It was in his role as Sales and Marketing Director that he was involved in the signing of a shirt sponsorship deal with Charlton Athletic which lead to a three year working relationship with the club. During that time he frequently witnessed the manager and coaching staff working with the team on the training ground and was blown away by the quality of motivation, leadership and feedback that he saw. He subsequently interviewed Chris Powell for a company event, in front of a specially invited audience, and learned more about his approach to people management and development. He realised that business leaders could learn so much from managers involved in professional sports, and he began developing a leadership and management programme which combines the best of sports leadership with the proven business tools and models he used successfully in his career.

Further work with Phil Brown and Paul Cook allowed him to refine the material and the first seminars were delivered at Portsmouth FC in the summer and autumn of 2016. The feedback from the seminars was outstanding and the programmes are now available to a wider audience.
